STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0340 The RCST shall sniff the LAN segment to include the entries of the hosts
MAC@ in the LAN into the ART with RCST destination equal to itself. It can
do it by looking at the source MAC@ of the ethernet messages.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0350 If it does not exist a L2-connection with the terminal destination of an
Ethernet message the RCST shall drop the packet.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0360
(OPT)
SatLife system shall support spanning trees on the RCST being built based
on sniffed data in the LAN segment and static configuration.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0370 SatLife system shall ensure the uniqueness of PIDs for the reception and
transmission of data.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0380 SatLife system shall allow a special configuration for the star topology and
Prosumer subscription where the RCSTs are not interconnected between
them and only “bridged” to the RSGW (see figure below). To implement this
the RCSTs shall only be configured with the broadcast PID of the RSGW so
they cannot see any broadcast message going out from another RCST in the
same VSN.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0390 SatLife system support of semi-dynamic bridging shall ensure static
configuration of bridge data in RCSTs including:
semi-dynamic bridge data configuration in RCSTs (via CLI or HTTP):
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0400 The SatLife system semi-dynamic bridge mode shall support locally (via CLI
/HTTP or SNMP) and remotely bridge data configuration (via telnet of SNMP)
over RCSTs on bridge mode.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0410 SatLife system shall consider as the semidynamic bridge data to be
configurable in bridge mode RCSTs the following parameters:
Bridge broadcast reception data: couples (RCST MAC@- forward PID)
used by the terminals to transmit broadcast messages.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0420 The broadcast L2-connection for each terminal shall be created as
permanent (NCC-initiated) when the RCST logs on in the network. It will use
the SLAs defined in the VSN per RCST.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0430 The unicast bidirectional L2-connections between terminals are created as
permanent (NCC-initiated) when both RCSTs have logged on in the network.
It will use the SLAs defined in the VSN per RCST.
NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0440 SatLife system shall release the connections of a terminal that has logged off. NA - -
STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-0450 When the NCC releases a L2-connection in a terminal, the RCST shall delete
the entries of the ART of those hosts MAC@ belonging to the remote RCST.
